“If you had come half an hour Early……………..”
A few years ago at the Northern part of India,
3 evangelists were distributing gospel tracts on a riverside.
They were visiting from huts to huts. They went to a hut where
they saw a mother crying. They tried to pacify her and they listened
her. Her story was heart breaking. Her husband was sick for the
past two years. She tried all possible ways for her husband's
healing but of no result. On top of that she lost her three children
with some kind of unknown diseases. The 4 th child was also affected
by the same. Out of her dire situation, she went to an occult
practitioner. He took everything that he could from her. Finally
he said, if she would give her last child to the river goddess
“Ganga” (Ganges, a famous river in India) she would be free from
all problems. Her life will be smoother. Listening to these words
she threw her youngest child into the river.
The evangelists shared
about Jesus to her. She listened carefully. And Finally with tears
replied “ If you had come here half
an hour early my daughter would have been saved.”
